Katerina Katsibardi

Dr Katerina Katsibardi is a Pediatrician with a PhD in the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA).

Education, Phd, training

She received her M.D. in 2001 with an “Excellent” grade. In 2010, she received her Doctoral Degree (PhD) from the EKPA with an “Excellent” grade in the field of Pediatric Oncology. She did her doctoral dissertation in Aghia Sophia Children’s Hospital of the First Department of Pediatrics in the University of Athens, from 2008-2012. She has been trained in Sophia Children’s Hospital and in the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She specialized in Pediatric Hematology Oncology (title of the subject from the First Department of Pediatrics of EKPA).

Work

Since 2013, he has been working as an Academic Fellow in the Pediatric Hematology Oncology Unit, at Aghia Sophia Children’s Hospital of the University of Athens.

Publications, Contribution

She has published 23 articles in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Pubmed and she has more than 200 presentations in Greek and national conferences. She has been contributed to numerous chapters in international educational textbooks and she has been participated in several international scientific conferences with lectures by invitation.

Research

She participates in research programs and clinical protocols for doctoral dissertations and clinical studies. She also participates in the educational program of undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the Medical University of Athens. She has received 2 awards for her scientific work.

Pediatric Clinic, activities

Since 2015, she also works in her pediatric clinic in Voula in Athens, treating with devotion the needs of every child and their family. She is a consultant for breastfeeding and participates in breastfeeding groups. Having a well-equipped doctor's office covers regular and emergency cases. She organizes a number of seminars addressed to parents and related to common pediatric issues, emphasizing to their proper information and knowledge.
